Me as Santa on train

What I did on my trips to and from Chicago around Christmas.
It was GREAT ! Making the kids smile, as well as the adults.

I have been a Locomotive Engineer for 30 Years. I loved my job running trains and working the road. I enjoyed the people that I worked with. I also enjoyed seeing rail fans along the way. Unfortunately, I can no longer work as an Engineer, account of an on the job injury. It will not allow me to preform my duties as I had in the past. I will sorely miss my Engineers career and the people that I worked with. I served 18 years as a Union rep for the Engineers and Fireman. And for the most part, I enjoyed that also. I am currently on disability, and am trying to cope with that as well. If you are an Engineer or Wanting to be or are a New Engineer, do yourself a favor. Support your Union whole heartedly, they are the only protection you have from railroad management. And do your best to stay safe. It's a dangerous place to work. And the Railroad management don't give a crap about you and are NOT your friends, no matter what they say. When I was a Local Chairman for the Unions, I tried to tell the guys that I worked with, just that. You would be surprised how many didn't listen, till they got stung. All you can do is make the best of it. Earn a good living and stay safe. .

STOP, LOOK & LISTEN

If You have to wait on a train for 5 minutes or 30
IT COULD BE WORTH THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

Ready for a run.
Engineer Control Stand

I was a Locomotive Engineer with Conrail. I have been on the railroad for 30 years.
I ran in a freight pool, better known as the Chain Gang, between Elkhart, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois.

Hitting cars, trucks and people at crossings is not fun. I've been there and done that.

IT'S NOT A PRETTY SIGHT!

PLEASE!....... DON'T BE THE NEXT VICTIM!
